Samani - regional organization
of Samtredia was established in 1996. At the first stage of its activity, organization
has implemented the charity activity in 1996-1998. The organization had a canteen
(free of charge, with own finances) per 120 persons. Union "Samani" also worked
with several charity organizations on different charity projects in Samtredia
region.
From 1999, the organization aims at supporting the development of small and medium size enterprises. In particular, organization implements consulting and informational service for representatives and start-up entrepreneurs of small and medium business.
Union "Samani" provides the following services:
- Business plan preparation;
- Several kinds of business consultations in small, medium enterprise development and agri-business field;
- Marketing surveys;
- Business training for active and start-up entrepreneurs;
- Informational service concerning legislative and other business related issues.
Implemented Projects:
- In 2001, the project of World Food Program and Organization
"Save the Children", that included the temporary employment of the population.
Within 3 months period, 534 persons have been employed.
- In 2002, with the assistance of World Food Program - 292 persons were employed temporarily.
- In 2002, Union "Samani" was involved in "State Program for Temporary and
Permanent Employment of the Registered Unemployed Persons".
- In 1998-2002, organization volunteers were conducting the monitoring of elections in Samterdia region.
- From August 2002, Union "Samani" implemented the monitoring on free access
to information.
- From August 2002 to February 2003, Union "Samani" carried out "World Food
Program" – "Rehabilitation of Irrigation System".
- In 2003, Union "Samani" was involved in "State Program for Temporary and
Permanent Employment of the Registered Unemployed Persons".
- Union "Samani" employs business consultants and trainers, which are highly
qualified in their respective area of competence.
